To be honest, DOF is the best part of any render to me other than colors. I didn't even notice the issue you were talking about. But when you said it, my mind wanted to automatically try & look for the issue you mentioned.
I guess my advice would be to not point out the flaws you make! Chances are, no one else other than you will even pay attention to it. =]

thanks. for what i consider "sketches" it's ok to preempt the critique. this isn't a finished piece and i dont mind people knowing it. this prevents people from giving advice on things and getting upset when I reply I knew and let it go as it was...
i see flaws in my finished pieces all the time, but I don't say a word (most of the time)

did not help i had to rerender pieces..cause i crashed out like a dummy and settings probably not saved etc. its ok was just meant to be a quickie.
