~Your pov~
A simple but yet depressing two years have passed since that dreaded region. My heart still ached with the thought of leaving Ruby but at the same time, I knew it was for the best. I just wished that me and Ruby could have kept our promise when we were little.

Flashback to the age 7~~

"Ruby!!" I yelled and tightly hugged my best friend.

"(Name)!!" He yelled back and hugged me too.

We smiled at each other, blushed, and looked away. Ruby took my hand and walked me to his house. Everywhere on the walls were dresses and clothes that Ruby drew.

"Wow, so cool!!" I said, looking around. One picture caught my mind. It had my name and the picture was a necklace with a paopu fruit. It was broken in two and me and Ruby were both wearing one.

"That caught your attention, didn't it?" Ruby asked.

I nodded my head and stared at the picture.

Ruby continued. "That's a paopu fruit. If two people share one, their destinies become intertwined. They'll remain a part of each other's lives no matter what. So I wanted to draw that. I plan to make it someday."

I giggled and hugged him again. "Thanks, Ruby! You're the best!"

"Let's make a promise to be part of each other's lives no matte what." He took out his pinky.

I wrapped mine around his. "Promise..."

~end of flashback~

Tears began to fell out of my eyes and I wiped them away. But no matter how much I wiped my tears, they always came back. My manager came out. (A.N: You work as a vocalist.)

"There's someone waiting for you at the entrance." Iris said.

"Thanks you. I'll head over there immediately." I replied.

I got off the chair I was sitting on and headed for the entrance. There, stood in front of me was the worst thing I could've imagine... Ruby.

Ruby held a (f/c) box with a red ribbon and smiled at me. I put on a slight scowl but inside, I was thrilled that Rub-Rub was here.

He scratched his neck, nervously. "Hi,(Name)!" He chirped happily.

"Ruby." I said with no expression in my once cheerful voice.

His smile disappear a bit but he handed me the present. "Here, for you."

I looked at it. "Why?"

"Just open it."

I hesitated to open it but when I finally decided to, the present was a half piece of the paopu fruit. I looked at him.

He took out the other part from his shirt and showed me. We connected them together and it made the whole fruit. For the first time in two years, a real smile appeared on my face. I hugged Ruby.

"You remembered.." My voice was muffled.

"Of course I did. I told you we'd be a part of each other's lives forever."

I smiled brightly. That's when Ruby brought my chin up and kissed me. The kiss was full of sparks, passion and most importantly, love.. I kissed back and Ruby wrapped our bodies together. We broke apart quite fast.

"You know.. Even though we may have broken hearts, we'll always be together. I love you, (Name)." Ruby said.

"I love you too, Rub-rub." I said back at him. We shared many kisses and completely ignored my manager's complaints.
