HUUUUGE FILE!!!! (so huge that i had to cut the tutorial in half lol!!)
tutorial made for my picture "Moon Gazer" [link]
this is a step by step of how i made that picture, i did not make this tutorial so you could copy the picture... just to help with techniques and a step by step guide.
for photoshop users and people who own a tablet although you don't have to use a tablet... it's just a million times easier.

What kind of tablet did you use and what kind of tablet would you recommend to a beginner with little experience with using one like me?

my tablet is a "Wacom Bamboo tablet" (not to be mistaken with the "wacom bamboo fun")
this is my tablet [link] it's only A5 size, and also was my first tablet which i bought only last year. i would recommend this one because it's really easy to learn how to use and also it's pretty cheap for a tablet. i had no experience with a tablet before this one and very little experience with photoshop either. it only takes a couple of days to get completely used to how it works. 
overall it's a very reliable tablet and i did my research into it before buying it to make sure it was what i wanted.

Thanks. This helps a lot. Someone had misplaced my stylus for my tablet and I can't find it. I was thinking of buying a new tablet but i found a store that sells replacement tablet pens.

aah no, i wont do something like this for a loooong while now, i ain't that good in computer pictures :S i need a tablet to do something like that...

yeah, it is a lot easier with a tablet, i'd highly recommend getting one if you're into art. i use mine every day even when i'm not using it for art, it's much easier than a mouse or touch-pad, plus if you have Windows Vista (which i don't have unfortunately) it has handwriting recognition so you don't have to type!

yeah well....x-mas is a long way to go....heh, wont get it any time sooner :S and vista is bad. that's all i'm gonna say lol
and well like wow xD when i do by hand i spend like 20minutes to 2 hours on a work lol..altho one pic i did 2 weeks...dyah xD but yeah, experiences make it a lot easier ghehe xD

lol why does everyone say vista is bad... my friend has it and it' awesome.
hehe XD yeah i used to spend only about an hour on my pieces but i suppose as i usually aim for realism in my current works it requires more attention to detail hence more time too.
