In mine, she's a star filmmaker who sends documentaries about the ponies' adventures to the human world and is stopping for some reason, possibly to do personal work for Princess Twilght Sparkle, soon to be with greater responsibilities.

That's Lauren Faust's OC. The fandom consensus seems to be that she is Celestia's and Luna's mother, but I seem to think she's a filmmaker who sends documentaries to the human world, at least from the ponies' perspective.
