introduced an art book. I did not like it. Here is a criticism of it. is going to shank me when she sees me next.

I learned the definition of "shank" recently. It apparently means to break off something, sharpen it, and then stab someone with it. Does that mean that if you pierce someone's body with a pencil, you just "stabbed" them, but if you break the pencil in half and then sharpen its broken piece and then pierce the person, you "shanked" them?
