This is a beautiful representation. I also have no problem with postwork, as you have stated in your replies. I consider a flame fractal as a beginning "sketch" of a piece of artwork. Sometimes the sketch is good enough to stand on it's own without furthur work, and other times it needs the extra work to bring out what it can truly be. I love this image, beautifully done.

Hey ... thank you so much for your comment on my piece. I feel the same way about fractals. I have always had a fascination of making something out of nothing. hahaha well not nothing, but you kwim.
thank you again.

Oh my... This is lovely. At first glance I thought that it was the design for a pin or a brooch of some sort, but closer inspection certainly proves otherwise.

There is a jewel-like tone to this piece...the coloring is remarkable. I will no longer comment on the simplicity and complexity of this piece, because a lot of people have already done so, but I will say that you have done very well coloring it. I can only imagine how difficult it was to get it to look like this.

We might see people doing this sort of thing in the future, because of you

thank you so much for the kind comments. I've been having trouble with my computer as of late. All the messages in my que are pleasant surprises. I'm so honored by your comments. I started work in apop about a year ago. Most of the stuff I'd seen posted then had very VERY little post work. it seems to me that 90% of the fractal artists out there take a lot of pride in creating a fractal and producing it with little to no postwork. I have ABSOLUTELY no problem with postwork, in fact I appreciate it in most fractals because I feel that the individuality of the person creating the work comes through better. it is more a rendering of themselves at that point, in my opinion. I try to do things a little different than most fractal artists, something that says more about me and my path through this place and it is nice when someone appreciates it. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

sumopiggy In reply to lauratyler [2004-09-07 04:09:25 +0000 UTC]

Glad to hear it. Most people, including myself whenever Ive opened Apop., just click on the randomise button untill something cool comes out and then post it (well as far as i know anyway.) But when people take the fractal/s and transform them into a work of art, and something made by them instead of entirely from an application, then I appreciate that and commend them for showing some originality
Anyway, your very welcome, and it looks like your not on my watch, but you will be in about 27 seconds
Keep up the good work.
