This is really cool. Itlooks to me likea weird kind of alien/abstract mitosis. I just thought of this because the spiky background pieces remind me all those high school biology textbooks where viral cells are portrayed as spiky. I love the colours as well, especially the contrast between the 'balls' in the second row.
It didn't occur to me until I read the comment but I can see the elven board game as well. This is one of nicest non flame fractals I've seen. I usually prefer flames but this is just great!

awww thank you so much. You gave me a huge smile to start out my day with. I am addicted to this type of theme and so I don't see myself stopping, I also have several other series that I can't seem to let go.. sigh*
I just started some new stuff but what happens is, i usually start a theme and then BLAM I discover something new and it gets me all sidetracked

Well, three level Star Trek chess ain't got nothing on this one. At first I thought it was a cool looking fractal, then I read that it was FE and a big smile came across my face. Now YOU'RE the one thinking outside the box.
