I'm not really qualified to give any professional response, but I just see someone one who is discovering themselves in their raw state and it makes me feel slightly sad. There is a nakedness to the figure and a the self examination is slow and a little painful. I could go on but I think I am beginning to sound a bit odd! Anyway, I am still looking at this painting as I think it very beautiful.

It's roughly figurative, but it has an abstract look. In the end I decided it's red and melting which gives it an element of surrealism. I have learned just recently in my photo critique that there is a certain amount of subjectivity to the definition as well.
