Vinyl Scratch or DJ-PON3 from My Little Pony - Friendship is Magic. The costume is done after the pilot costume that Rei Ayanami has in the anime Neon Genesis Evangelion.This is my first time drawing Vinyl Scratch, and since my next parody poster will be of Neon Genesis Evangelion - Death And Rebirth, I decided to pick up Vinyl, and give her her own picture.
Anyways, this was drawn by hand with water soluble color pencils, and finished with white gel pen.

Well, my coloring isn't anything special. I just like using strong colors and trying not to leave any white space, even though I should be focusing more on mimicing actual lightsources. The pencils I use (Caran d'Ache Supracolor Soft) are water soluble, and adding the water brings out quite strong colours. Strengthening the contrast after scanning has a pretty big part on making the colors stronger too.
And don't try to be like me, hah. My style is inherently flawed due to not studying the basics back when I started. Try checking out people like Naschi, Emperpep, Exileden, and Laverinne instead. There's some actually good traditional art to look up to. Or go for TheWizardOfArt if you want to see some good pony stuff.
