Ra-se has a very laid back personality and is generally lazy. However, he will accomplish any task placed before him if he believes it has to be done. Upon meeting people, Ra-se will attempt to find the "best side" of them. When he attempts to speak to a female, however, he tries to be cute with them, as he is a huge flirt. Ra-se appears to apologize often as he rarely thinks before speaking; hence he feels that he may offend others. Although calm and collected when traveling solo, he is quite the loudmouth when he is with others.

He usually carries a neutral expression with a tint of anger and frustration on his face. He only deviates from this trend when he requires more emphasis in his speech, in which case his expressions are usually over-exaggerated. He is an insomniac by choice as he can sleep when he wishes but does not as he believes he can get more accomplished while he is awake. As such, his eyes are barely half open and has shadows under his eyes.

Family is a touchy subject with him. He keeps his family history and knowledge sealed in the depths of his mind. Though it is known that he has a brother but he prefers never to mention him.

He is rather self-conscious about his appearance: He does not like to get his clothes dirty and gets his equipment custom made. Of the custom equipment in his possession, his geta are reinforced on the bottom by steel plates, hence giving his position away easily with the distinct "clink" noise with every step he makes. His wooden bokken actually keeps a steel blade enclosed, so if the bokken itself breaks, he has a deadlier weapon in store for the opponent.
