Very nice, I like how there is detail but not too much detail. The combination of black, white and red will always be stylish in my book, and I think it's good that you have toned down the other colors (in the nose and eyes), so th picture is not too busy. This would work well as a poster. Or a book cover. Here's hoping you will win the contest.

lol vector art definitely takes a lot of practice (about 99 percent of what i make gets scrapped in the first hour.) really, though, if you pull the anchors a bit, it gets rid of the rough corners. also, there is a wonderful tool in Illustrator called the smooth tool, it smooths out the paths for any mistakes I might make. that thing has saved my life on this project especially. I'd love to see any vector art you make though, and I can give you advice or red-line it for you if you'd like. I'm just beginning with this medium, but people have helped me so much along this journey, and i'm head over heels in love with it now. Also, I write novel long comments because I love to ramble. lol sorry about that.

That is actually my first try. It only took me about six hours from start to finish. I'll give a secret though, only the red and white are actual shape layers. the black is the background behind it.
