Description
I did this as a submission for Aphrodisia, an art contest asking for art with female figures as the subject matter. The winners got printed in a book, set up much like Spectrum. Well, I didn't win. Oh well.I spent a lot of time on the detail and textures in this drawing. I wanted to show it at large size, because otherwise a lot of it gets lost.

Thanks - the armor was really fun to design. I'm not thrilled with the faces, I was experimenting with something new, and am wishy-washy on how it came out.

you artists are always the same you see some little flaw that nobody notices and it bugs you forever maybe its cause the noses appear too big because your shade lines are like 2 mm too far on to the cheek

You're right, I'm often over-critical. Yes, it was primarily the noses... but I'm glad that you like the piece! I did have fun working on it.

An excellent armor concept, if you ask me, with some minor modifications of course. Mind if I use the armor in a scifi story I've started? I'm stuck because I can't come up with a good description for the armor used by the marines.
