Awhile ago I posted the individual character elements for this piece, but I never put up the finished piece of art. This is what I entered in the Blizzard art contest, but unfortuantely I didn't win. I don't ever really have luck in art contests. I don't know why I keep trying. It only depresses me.Related content

I really like the Three female Night Elves.
You captured alot of detail in all three of them. Hell, i wish i could draw them or how ever that well.
Its an awesome pic.

i love the way you paint females and their figures. They look so real it's not funny, what i love about this image is the subtle background with such vibrant characters in very striking poses. The colors you used complimented each other so much. Sorry you didn't win, but this is an amazing piece, even if you didn't win you sure did wonderfully.

Well my friend you art is definitely Very gorgeous the attention to details and the Elaborate costume designs based of the original CG Nightelf and the feathered druid regalia are very nicely done they look great. I mean if you look at my art you'll choke to death on laughter how bad it is. So feel free to disregard my advice

Thanks, those are all good points. I posted the links to the winners in another comment if you're interested in checking them out. Few of them told much of a story, they were just characters standing around doing things.
I wanted the image to look like the viewer just accidentally stumbled upon three night elf females. I didn't want to limit it by showing what they were looking at, so it would be different for each viewer.

I did the background in normal, daytime colors, then added a bunch of adjustment layers to make it look more like dusk. And yes, I spend a lot of time on the background.
