I penciled a few pages to send off to Marvel back at the end of 2006, but never finished. This was my favorite panel from the submission, so I decided that instead of losing it forever to the pile of old used pages, I would scan and color it.For those of you who don't know, this is Rogue from the X-Men, battling the futuristic mutant-hunting sentinel Nimrod. She has apparently kicked it's ass.
I've never seen Rogue with that hairstyle, but she's a girl, so I'm sure she does more than just have the same hair for a decade at a time.

Very nice! I just watched a X-Men episode where I saw Nimrod and was inspired to do a fan art of him. So I started looking up other Nimrod artwork and found yours!
I like the gaping mouth of the defeated Nimrod, but wait! He will regenerate back in seconds so enjoy that victory while it lasts.

There was a comic where Rogue smashed up Nimrod? I remember when she absorbed a bunch of peoples' powers and started fighting him. That was pretty sweet. And when Nimrod and Mastermold combined...

It's Nimrod, a top of the line Sentinel that eventually turned into Bastion after falling into the Siege Perilous.

Practicing is the way to go, though. Talent can only take you so far, but constantly drawing can take you anywhere if you dedicate the time to it.
