Description

After the devastation of the Imperial Invasion, Gallia sought to vary up their tanks, based on the success of the unique Edelweiss. As a result, the Type-36 series of tanks were built. Several different designs, were built, with two versions of each class of tank, and several APC designs as well.

After producing a lot of Model A's, the design was panned as being almost entirely inferior to the original GLT, and so it made few good impressions.

(This tank is clearly inspired by the Renault FT-17 WW1 tank. An interesting detail, is that there are no lower wheels, which would make driving it EXTREMELY difficult.)

Interesting. My head-canon for this vehicle was that it was an EW1 design, for obvious reasons. It's hard to believe that the Edelweiss would have predated this.

Well, it was designed with low cost in mind. This can be seen when it's upgraded into the B model, which is very similar to the original GLT. Though, fun fact, FT-17s were in combat until the end of WWII. A large number even participating in the Battle of Paris, and in the hands of China, Yugoslavia, Belgium, various Middle Eastern nations, and even as the training vehicles for France, Britain, Ireland, Canada, USA, Poland, among others.

Still, it is interesting that they chose it as the inspiration for a post "WWII" vehicle, but I guess Gallia just needed tanks, so it might be an upgraded EWI design/prototype.
