Ohkayy... 2nd attempt to test out my capability in B&W drawing. This turns out much more satisfying than the previous one. I manage to put in more details and slightly finer lineworks, although yes, there are still some "retardness" lolz.
I plan to make this into a merchandise for CF 2007. Maybe a notebook, maybe a print out. Hurmm... Maybeee...
Oh for those who're planning to join in FaZuu Contest (details HERE) , we'll be expecting your character to be wearing stuff like this. But this is NOT the only style of outfit that fits the theme. There's LOTS more style to discover from, this is one of the few. Just a guideline for those who's still a bit confuse over the theme.

Your style has changed so much since I last was on DA. It's gotten so much better. *envy* I really like your lineart. XD I wish I knew where the appropriate places for thick line ans thin lines were... *sigh* Gives so much more depth when you use the different thickness in lines. So much detail in your line drawings! I wish I could do the same...

Lolz. It's been like, 2-3 years haven't it?
Well, lemme give u some tips about the thick and thin lines. This is how I do it, there's really no right or wrong but it's worth to experiment with it. For outlines, I usually use thin lines for the body of the character (face, hand, legs) or natural things. Thinner lines for the hair strands. Thicker outlines are applied for man made things. Like the clothings and all. This is the outline. For the inner line, it's usually best to make it slightly thinner than the outline.
Thin and thick lines play major roles in clothes fold as well. hmm.. this is kinda tricky but I usually make the part where there's shadowcast a bit thicker, and where the sun falls, it'll be thinner. O_O; sometimes I follow these, sometimes I just do as I please. lolz.

okay, when I said something about you 'trying out something new', this is partially what I meant.. different look for the face than before.. nicer, and more.. umm.., can't find the right word for it, but it's good...
I love this... your lines are getting better... might want to take a second look at those fingers, but all in all I'd say everything else just sorta makes up for it... (so much that I hardly even noticed).

facial expression ader improvement yah? hoyyeahh~~ But personally, I was kinda attempting to make the hair lines finer but looks a bit stiff.. oh and the fingers, are totally cacated. and off proportioned too, na? It looks ok during sketch mode but when I inked it.. T^T

Wish I could ink traditionally, I'm so heavy handed I get ink everywhere and my lines end up so ungraceful
What materials/tools do you use and how long have you been using them for?

Heavy handed? O_O; That's the first time I heard of that term. Lolz! Urm, I use a normal drawing pen to draw. It's Mitsubishi Unipin drawing pens. [link] I've been using them eversince I was..14 i think. That's 7 years now. It's an affordable (here it costs only RM4.90) and easy to control since the pen tip and ink is quick drying.
If u give me G-pens, I'll smudge em hard coz I am bad at controlling my hand as well... especially "wet" stuff.
