I'm working on adapting the main Iray uber shader to allow additional colour channels driven by masks. I'll hopefully have something to show for it in the next couple of days. In the man time I'm zeroing in on the look I'm after with the fabric. What may not be obvious from the image above is this version has 2 different tiling parameters, one for the base color, diffuse overlay, translucency and opacity and the other driving everything else. So I can have a small very tileable texture driving the fabric set to tile many times with another texture driving the overall colour, pattern, stitching etc only tiled once...
