Here's August for the Druvdalen calendar 2010. This was really rushed, as the deadline rapidly approached and no one else offered to draw August, so I did. Took me about five hours in one sitting. Almost killed me.
And I'm not overly fond of the result either...I enjoy fishing, so I decided to draw a fishing pony (her name is Cascade, by the way). I know it's silly, ponies are vegetarians. Oh well. She probably can't handle a boat engine or a fishing rod either. But it was fun drawing nonetheless.

Who cares how realistic it is, it's still adorable! I love fishing, too, so this is special to me (fishing was something I did with my dad) and I LOVE that sea-pony! And of course, fishing is something that's great to do on a lazy august afternoon. ^^

Thank you! To me, August is a month to enjoy those last really warm days, and what better way than to lazily drift in a boat on a clear lake/sea with a fishing pole in hand. (or in this case, hoof XD)

Haha, I know what you mean, since I'm originally from New York, but here in Florida, we don't really get cold weather (MAYBE two weeks total a year). We joke that we have two seasons: Wet Summer and Dry Summer. :]

Hah, I was thinking of letting a pony go fishing in my pic to but was affraid of the "approach of vegetarians"^^
It's a shame I do not know the pony, I don't know all the ponies
But it looks great! The water and reflection is lovely

Hah, if vegetarians get upset because I draw a pony that's fishing, then they've got a serious problem. Seeing as it's only pixels, no fish got hurt during the making of it. XD
I really liked the water, I must say. I tried out some effects to make it that way. I'm gonna refine that technique and make a tutorial later, I think...
