I always found Red Herring an interesting character. Your typical school bully but still kind of likable. Plus I feel like if they ever brought Red back, he would have been that bully that had picked on Fred and the gang for years and still gets under their skin even as adults. Then it's up to Fred to finally stick up to Red and put an end to himThey could have done a lot with Red, but sadly not so heres fanart, enjoy!

I loved the gangs rivalry with Red. They were always so surprised, "It's Red Herring!" ;D

Just Then the sheriff pulled up in his cruiser with lights flashing , and Red dropped the purse and started running, but was tackled by one of the deputies, who found two dime bags of weed in Red's pocket. Long story short Red was sentenced to one to three years in the state prison.

Looking back, despite the bad-boy act and "evil laugh", it was actually Fred who was always bullying him. Think about it, Fred was always accusing Red, and (save the motorcycle incident, where Fred wasn't allowed to say Red's name) he was never the bad guy.
In fact, the only time I can remember Red ever actually doing anything to the gang, was when he ran Fred over with his bike. And that was only after Fred accused Red of stealing Shaggy's bike and repainting it. Velma handed Fred a "sand blaster" and he attacked the bike in question. When it was revealed to be Red's, he rightfully retaliated. So, Fred "shot" first, so to speak, and Velma was an instigator.

I wouldn’t think of returning Red Herring, but rather making an expat of him. He used to be Fred’s best friend until he (Fred) joined the gang. Now Red’s going after him.
