The fact this thing is even still here knowing what happened to a lot of them is a real testament to the fact not all of them are going to see a scrapper. I can remember when these were Cadillacs of intermodel and short mainline trains. It's really amazing to think this one probably has prolonged the rest of its life. Would be nice if a shortline around there picked it up and rebuilt it.

These classic GE locos were flat faced and ugly as sin compared to their EMD Rival's, but damnit, I hate to see something as historical as these locos get scrapped

Larry's was using it for a while to shove cars around. Something big must have broke for them to park it. There are a few EMD SW's running around here now.

My GF in McDonald Ohio lives just up the street from Larry's Truck & Electric, when I visit, I always notice a lot of old power parked in there. Wish I'd had time to shoot some the stuff I've seen there over the years, but we always seem to be doing other things or are on our ways somewhere else.
