Depends on if you are wanting to either create within a certain time line or recreate a given screen. Also depends on the show.. NextGen had different colors than say DS9 for example. The other answer is, you are the designer.. you decide. I would suggest coming up with a central color and build a theme from that.
That said, I do have a NextGen styled inkscape palette I use.
