Ben Gibbardof Death Cab for Cutie
and The Postal Service
The quality's much better in person. : D
The assignment called for painting in the pointillist style. I enjoyed this IMMENSELY and listened to Death Cab for Cutie and The Postal Service a lot while painting it during the entire Spring Break. I also ruined a few small brushes - I dotted everything even though my teacher said we could cheat for big spaces (like the curtain).
My favorite part about this painting is remembering the phone call I got from my sister. didn't even say hi when I picked up. She just went, "WHY did you complain about his hair???" (I had called/texted earlier, worried about ruining or not completing it in time.) Turns out our teacher loved my painting so much he showed her class, too. Haha!
