- "But Mother, Shetani is sick, remember? Grandmother said it would be best if I kept my distance so I won't get sick too. Besides its very cold..."
-"Fine! As long as you stay quiet!"
-"Thank you mother...I-I love you..."

I had this done a while back, but forgot to upload it. Anyways, this drawing is based off my theory of what Zira's childhood was like. If it wasn't clear already Zira is the cub in this picture and the lioness you see is her mother Kiah. Kiah was a very distant and harsh mother to both Zira and Shetani, but that's mainly because their existence was a constant reminder her of a massive mistake she made in her past. Kiah's coldness towards her daughters, along with other events eventually lead to the development of the Zira we know in TLK II.

I'm planning on making a comic on Zira's upbringing, but that might take a while. I'm also thinking about making this into a YCH so I guess you can stay tuned for that later on.
