In a world where David lost all his close friends to the villain Red Fang, his rage guided a red ring to his finger. Now Lantern Ellis is a Red Lantern, and his power is rivaled only by his terrible rage.

Orange Lantern David Ellis:

"This power is mine, this is my light. Be it in bright of day, or black of night. I lay claim to all that falls within my sight, To take what I want, That is my right!"

In another world, David's efforts to find a way to have access to his full Blue Lantern powers without the need for a Green Lantern nearby, he became corrupted by his greed, and killing Larfleeze, David Ellis became the new Agent Orange. Now there is nothing to keep him from whatever his heart desires.

Sinestro Corps David Ellis:

"In blackest day, in brightest night, Beware your fears made into light. Let those who try to stop what's right Burn like my power - Sinestro's might!"

In another world, David Ellis, instead of being a psychiatrist to help people, turned his psychiatric and empathic abilities to torturing detainees at Guantanamo Bay. The fear he caused attracted a yellow ring to him, and now he causes fear in the name of the Sinestro Corps.

Green Lantern David Ellis:

"In brightest day, in blackest night, No evil shall escape my sight. Let those who worship evil's might Beware my power - Green Lantern's light!"

In a world where Hal Jordan's sacrifice to reignite the sun succeeded, but instead of Hal bonding to the Specter, his consciousness was destroyed. In order to combat a Parallax without Hal's influence, the Guardians decreed that another Earth Green Lantern be commissioned. That Lantern is David Ellis. Alongside his allies, Lantern Ellis has proven himself a worthy lantern.

Blue Lantern David Ellis:

"In fearful day, in raging night, With strong hearts full, our souls ignite. When all seems lost in the War of Light, Look to the stars, for hope burns bright!"

In the mainstream DC universe, David Ellis is a psychiatrist who uses his empathic abilities (obtained by the Verdonite DNA he carries within him) to bring hope to his patients. Although he was nearly killed in a motorcycle accident, he was saved by the timely arrival of a blue ring. Now his sector can rest comfortably, for Lantern Ellis' hope burns bright!

Indigo Tribe David Ellis:

"Tor lorek san, bor nakka mur, Natromo faan tornek wot ur. Ter Lantern ker lo Abin Sur, Taan lek lek nok - Formorrow Sur!"

During an interplanetary war, David Ellis was seen as one of the more ruthless generals, and was compared to the more dangerous tyrants of human history. After falling in battle to Indigo-1, she forced an indigo ring onto his finger. Now his hatred and rage are replaced by compassion. But this hides an iron strength.

Star Sapphire David Ellis:

"For hearts long lost and full of fright, For those alone in Blackest Night. Accept our ring and join our fight, Love conquers all with violet light!"

In another world, David Ellis was happily married. However, when his wife died of cancer, David's life was ruined. Wallowing in despair, he decided to commit suicide by jumping off a bridge, attracting a violet ring to him. Now he serves as the guardian of love for his sector.
