Although sun is shining bright, it somehow gives you the creeps even by day, when you think about it.

Yes, i don't think it matters what surrounds it, you can always see it for what it is: a memorial to a man made need of destruction.

I was only there for a month also, I really do miss it though.
When i finish university (about another 4 years) i plan to go back.
Every time i look at my photos i miss it more. I spent so long planning to go and was so excited that now i'm back there is a Japan-shaped void. *sigh* lol

So you went there all by yourself?*_*
I was part of an exchange program, but had already dreamed about going there for years.^^
Good luck with university! I'll have to deal with that starting next spring.:3
I know that feeling! .___. I miss my host families. ;;

Oh, that's very nice!!!^^
Did you see a lot of Japan? We travelled through Kyoto, Gifu, Aichi (Nagoya), Mie and Tokyo. Quite a lot to see.^^
Meeting people is always nice. :3
I'll have a look at his account, then!
Kind of! I've applied for a practical course which is required to study grahpic and design. I'd love to be children's books author and illustrator later. I could also study Japanese as a second subject at some universities, which, of course, I would love to do.^^
How about you?

Yes, We stated in Tokyo and then went to Nikko, Hakone, (the hot springs are the most awesome thing ever!) Kyoto, Hiroshima and then finished in Osaka. It was amazing and we saw loads. I took way too many photos and ate a lot of food.
I think it would be cool to do children's books, there's no limit to what you can do!
Sounds like a good course because it means you can do other things you like too.
I study design for interactive media. Mainly web based and computer systems but i intend to specialise in 3D design for interaction, including animation. It's very interesting but it's very hard.
There are also a lot of boring stuff you have to do to get to the good bits lol

WOW! That trip sure was great!! I've been to Oosaka as well, but only at the airport. HAve you been to the fish market in Tokyo? At 4 am? Getting up was really hard, but the market is interesting.^^
Oh I took pictures and recorded videos like crazy! xD
Yeah, I think so,too! Hope I will make it, it really isn't easy.;;
Wow, that sounds cool.^^ So your gonna design websites later? :3
I wish you good luck with it! I'm sure you'll make it.^^

I didn't go to the fish market, 4am is beyond me. i get grumpy if i'm woken up early. lol
I'm sure you will be fine. nothing worthwhile ever is easy. It's good that you accept now that there will be a lot of work involved, you'll be surprised how many people on your course won't take it seriously. I'm sure you'll do well!
I'm doing websites just now but it gets pretty dull.
I hope to get better at drawing and then i can use that to my advantage. Just going to keep getting better and trying new things and see how it goes.

Oh, that's too bad. xD
It's all over at 7pm, all the fish's sold out.^^
Aww, thank you very much!^^ That's what I call motivation.
I will give it my all, since it's what I want to do most.
Would be perfect if I could work in Japan later, but who knows.^^
Sounds like a good plan! Have you ever thought about attending some courses or lessons to improve your drawing? I did once, and it helped me a lot, at least when it comes to water colors.^^

I would also love to work in Japan at some point. I really loved it over there and i can't help but miss it. Also it's the prime location for this kind of work.
I went to lessons for a little while but i got to busy with uni and had to stop. I think it might be a good idea to look for something like that to help me - thank you for your good advice.

I think so,too!^^
I guess whether it is traditional Japanese or European Fairytales, there's still room for them in the japanese stores.
And of course your kind of studies is also highly requested, I think.^^
Always a pleasure.^^ There also are some very inspiring books, if you don't have the time to attend regularly.^^

I have quite a few books, more than anything else i need a kick up the @ss. lol
Yes, i think there is always room for that kind of writing/illustration. You can also create for schools and education facilities so there will be good money to be made. Japanese fairytales are very interesting, they tell stories very differently but i do love western fairytales, western story's are always quite dark even if they have a happy ending.
My kind of thing is specialised but it changes a lot. Just got to keep up to date so that when i'm done i'm not out of date. Should be fine - i find interactive media very interesting so i quite enjoy learning about it. There's also not many people on the course. Some courses have lots of graduates and so it's hard to get a job, but this is a very closed of group so few people will be competing for jobs.

Shall I~? xD
That really gives me hope. :3
Yeah, Japanese Fairytales have a whole different style of narration, but I quite like it.
You're right about that dark aspect of western fairytales. Maybe because they were written down in medieval times, when people were kind of pessimistic. XD
That sounds like a good perspective!^^
And if you love media, it shouldn't be a big problem to stay up to date.^^

Yes, they lived in harder times, also most of there stories had a message to get across, kind of a well hidden fable, it's also interesting to hear the same story told by different cultures. I wonder what the original stories were like since it's obvious the stories have changed as they've been passed down (like a huge game of chinese whispers).

It's always the same, I guess. Ancient fairytales passed on from generation to generation. Of course they would always keep changing.
That last sentence almost yearns for a picture! xD
