Yeah, my mum didn't like the idea either, but trying to talk me out of something is soul destroying at the best of times. She eventually gave up and she liked seeing all my photos and stuff when i got back.
I really loved Japan, i will go back but not until i finish uni stuff here.
You should go, it's awesome, totally different culture tho!
