Description
You were sitting on the ground, thinking about how many things changed in the past year. You were happy now and you didn't want to change a thing, you didn't wish for anything more. You continued daydreaming longer until you finally heard Ludwig's voice behind you.
"Sorry for being late. Did I make you wait long?"
YOu quickly got up and smiled at him.
"Don't worry, I didn't wait too long. Can we go now?"
"Ja, let's go."
Without saying anything, you two started that jog. You went on the same road as always, it was boring and there was nothing special to see but it was perfect for training and it was pretty nice too. There were trees and bushes at the sides of the road and sometimes you got distracted by the squirrels and birds and other things...
That's what happened again. You were happily looking around and you didn't see the branch in front of you and you stepped on it, lost your balance and fell. You tried to grab his arm but he was too far. He stopped though to look at you and gave you his hand to help you get up.
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah, I'm fine, sorry."
You giggled nervously and grabbed his hand and tried to get up like nothing happened and continue your jog but you felt a sharp pain in your ankle when you did so. You groaned and kept your aching foot in the air.
"Damn. I can't stand on it." You felt to pathetic, you didn't want him to think that you were weak. But you couldn't stand on your foot, it just hurt too much. You looked nervously at the ground and sighed.
"Seems like our jog is over for today."
"I'm really sorry."
He smiled and he suddenly lifted you up and held you bridal style which made you blush a little.
"Don't worry _________, it was just an accident. I'll take you home so you can rest your foot."
"Th-thank you Ludwig." You leaned your head against his chest as he carried you and you remembered that he carried you in the same when after he found you in the snow back then with the difference that it was much more comfortable now.
When you arrived back to your house he lay you on the bed and sit next to you. You looked away, still feeling bad about how clumsy you were. He gently patted your head and you still looked up at him.
"I thought we could go out and celebrate together tonight though. I'll stay at home with you then."
You smiled at him.
"No, it's alright. You can go without me, the others are still waiting for you. Go and have fun with them and don't worry about me."
"But _________..."
"Go." You said shortly with a smile on your face.
"Are you sure I can go?"
"Of course, else I wouldn't tell you to go."
"Thank you." He ran his fingers through your hair and you closed your eyes.
And so he went out that night with his friends and you stayed alone at home but you didn't mind it, you just hoped he has fun at least. You just watched some TV and a few hours later you went to bed but you weren't tired enough to sleep, you kept staring at the ceiling and waited for Ludwig to come back. You hugged your blanket tightly and closed your eyes. You missed him. Minutes passed slowly and you decided to stay awake until he comes home.
It was already almost 2 am and he was still nowhere. You were getting impatient and sleepy. You stretched and covered your eyes with your arm.
"Where is he for so long?"
Suddenly you heard the door open. Finally! You sat up and really hoped that he will come to your room to see you, else you have to get up and try to go to him but that would be a little hard because your foot didn't get any better yet.
"Please come in, please come in, please come in..." You kept saying in your head.
You could harly believe when he really entered the room soon.
"Ludwig!" You smiled big. "I'm glad you're back, did you have fun?"
"I thought you were sleeping by now." He came closer and sat next to you.
"N-no, I couldn't fall asleep."
You looked at him a little closer and you saw that his cheeks were slightly pink. You blinked. You never really saw him blushing. But he talked in a weird way too a bit... You knew he was a bit tipsy and you shook your head a and sighed softly but you still smiled.
"Are you sober at all?"
"I am, I swear. I didn't drink much, I know you don't like that."
That surprised you. You didn't think he would do such thing for you but it made you happy. Then he leaned against you, lay his head on your chest and wrapped his arms around your waist. You blushed a lot and looked down at him confused. He held you tightly and he didn't move. Slowly you hugged him back and patted his head gently. You played with his hair a bit, you weren't sure if he liked it or not. But the way he was still hugging you told you that he didn't mind it. It all was very weird but you liked it. It wasn't really the Ludwig you knew, you were almost sure he was drunk. But you didn't care, he was so cute like that and you lay your head on his and closed your eyes.
"_________..." He started and you opened your eyes again. "I have something to tell you..."
"R-really? What is it?" You felt him holding you tighter.
"I... uh... Ich liebe dich..."
He didn't teach you much German so you didn't really know what he said. You had a guess but you rather didn't make yourself believe that it was actually what you thought it was. You just stayed quiet and waited.
"I mean... I love you, _________."
"Wha..." Your eyes were wide open and you lifted your head up and looked at him. Was he that drunk?! Or does he really mean it?
He let go of you slowly and held your hands. He looked back at you and you felt very shy but you tried to keep the eye contact.
"I know what you're thinking, it's so easy to see your thoughts." He smiled.
"Ah..." You looked away nervously and he started stroking your hair.
"Like I said, I'm not drunk but after a year I thought it was already time to confess. And I really mean it."
You looked back at him and you saw him looking aside this time and the blush on his cheeks grew deeper.
"L-Ludwig, I..." You gulped.
"Yes?"
"I love you too... Really. I'm so thankful for saving me then and letting me stay with you." Suddenly tears ran down your cheeks. "I love you with all my heart..." You wiped your tears quickly and kept your eyes closed.
He leaned closer and planted a gentle kiss on your forehead.
"Don't worry. I'm glad I could save you and thank you for staying with me." He stroked your cheek, wiping away another tears. "Please stop crying, they don't make you pretty."
You couldn't help giggling at that comment.
"Sorry, I'll stop." You hugged him tightly and he gently held your head against his chest. You smiled and he started stroking your back.
He then lay you back on the bed and leaned close to you again. You were still a bit embarrassed and you took a deep breath. A few seconds later he came even closer and his lips softly touched yours. You closed your eyes and wrapped your arms around his neck as he deepened the kiss. You could feel the bitter taste of beer he drank and though you didn't like it, somehow the kiss was really sweet.

And that was not all that happened that night...
