Son of Gaia and Tartarus.King of the Abyss Giants.
Born to oppose Zeus, Porphyrion started the war between the gods and the giants called gigantomachy by kidnapping Hera wanting the goddess to become his queen. He of course started the war to keep Hera and avenge the Titans. The giants attacked Olympus warned by fate that the Olympians could not defeat the giants without the help of a lion-skinned mortal, Zeus decided this must mean his son, Heracles, and sent Athena to find him (although Dionysus also has appeared).
In battle, Zeus made the giant lust after Hera, when he ripped off her clothes and tried to rape the goddess, he was killed after being knocked down by a thunderbolt from Zeus and hit by an arrow from Heracles.
To be the opposite of Zeus, Porphyrion was almost immune to the rays of the king of Olympos, it took the combination of Zeus's rays with Heracles' arrows to kill him, that is, a God and a Mortal fighting together.
