Description
I was feeling the urge tonight.I've been playing "Fausts Alptraum" and I am in LOVE with the art style and I wanted to attempt emulating the color style. it was actually really fun, I think i'll try using it more. <3 lots of dry media brushes and lowering the opacity to try and give it an oily effect. it's really great.
anyway, I want to draw Lear with Star Asher... though i still need to fit this in with the neverending mess that is their story... it keeps wanting to change as my insterests do, but i don't know how to accumulate my changes, so it's become very disorganized and cluttered, which is my problem with writing.
I need to draw OTHER characters... or just draw some youtuber or danganronpa fan art... meh.
art and characters are (C) Lear-is-not-amused

Well I think this picture is beautiful, I love the light burst, and the way you managed to add a traditional sort of texture to the blue lighting on Lear's hair and sweater from the flower-light. I also really like how you portrayed a sense of motion, as if the light is about to be absorbed (Ghibli style) into her forehead.
I think this is one of your most successful pieces this year

aw thank you! i wouldn't say it's all that successful if you compare it to the material i was attempting to get it to look lik but that's so nice of you to say! that means so much!

Yes but emulating a style 100% is different to taking what you like about it and incorporating it with your work, which I feel is MORE successful in terms of artistic development. Surprisingly a lot of people can copy styles (I'm not one, I find it hard), but not everyone can do that second thing and make that style a part of their own
