I don't really like this one as much as the snake and snail dump... the sketches scanned messier, which meant more work with cleaning for me, and some things came out too dark to be really fixed, the posed weren't as much fun as the others... I don't know... i think the big problem is the layout isn't the six big main drawings in sets of three like the other one... its a bunch of tinier drawings loosely scattered about and isn't as appealing. but this one has animal representations this time! i'm thinking it will be a new fairy tale..."there was once a tiny snail who had wandered too far from home. as she made the long journey back, she came upon a hungry young ermine. "please sir, don't eat me." she begged him. "my family will miss me." the ermine was an arrogant creature and snorted in distaste. "as if i would eat something as repulsively slimey as you!" he retorted, and left her on her way."
and thats all I got.
lol I kind of think Yianis gets jealous of Lears books at times. they get more attention than he does! *flops about and nudges under her arms while she reads like a cat does* to remedy this Lear would attempt to read to him, but i doubt that would work well either *loud obnoxious yawning and exaggerated complaints* why read books when she could listen to him tell about his day? lol its kind of like when dad got mom the ipad, she now plays with it in bed and my dad is just like
lol its not that bad anymore, my mom plays with it less now she's not as enamored with it. she either uses it for research, or to play majong.

I don't really have any favorites out of all these sketches... they're all kind of... equally crummy! they're cute enough though, so I uploaded them. the wedding carriage one makes me laugh though because its like... the perfect picture explanation of their relationship. I think Yianis is just pinning her legs so she can't make an escape. "nope, already made your vows sorry."

The snail, who happened to be (still on her way home lol) heard him and made her way over, and using her slimy body, managed to pop his paw free (via fairytale logic). The ermine was very grateful, and felt very stupid for insulting her before."
I don't think they're crummy at all! I really like that kiss one, and the pillow sleeping one where they're looking at each other, you draw Yianis better than I do, he looks like poo in mine, he looks endearing in yours lol. Ugh the yawning one! That's like..."entertain me, drop everything you've committed to spending the next hour doing, because now I'm here!"
And the carriage one lol, its like how cats stretch out and start pushing you off the seat *lear finds self riding atop the carriage*
Aww and there there, don't feel overwhelmed and cry, Yianis doesn't want you to ruin the expensive tablecloth with your tears (I'm joking obviously, its ok, you don't have to go to anymore social events, but what will they tell people???)

why do you like the kiss one? its one of the worst pictures! oh well, you only drew him, what, thrice? to be honest I based him off the first picture of him you had, the one in the giant sel characters ref. you said he was skinny, but that picture showed someone who was a little more round and muscular... and what with him being rich and well fed that more box like shape seemed more suited, so i just kept with that one. and he is endearing! snobby rich brats are fun to come up with scenarios for!
lol exactly XD I imagine that is his mentality at times... when he's in the mood for it that is! other times he couldn't be bothered "do what you like O'Beann I have rich and important man things to do."
my cats never pushed me off the seats, they just would plunk themselves anywhere inconvenient and warm me with their furry cat bodies. lol i imagine Yianis was just like "oo, warm thighs" *nestles self upon them* because as her new husband he's entitled to it of course! *uses her as a pillow or a mattress at his convenience*
aw shut up erimway she's crying on a desk with no tablecloth! deal with waterspots on your polished wood! Lear will still go to the social events, she just hates them. the people are horrible, she doesn't really belong with them, and they make it known, but she doesn't want to let the Erimway name down... the butler and staff all dislike her passively and there are rumors her marriage won't last, and the butler is convinced she's married Yianis to kill him and take his inheritance and checks on them at inopportune times but makes it seem like an accident, but she knows whats up, and so on and so forth. she's always making mistakes and is terrified of making them, and she doesn't want to embarrass her husband and make him not want to be with her anymore.
oh you know, i had a couple of thoughts for scenese... one of them being long enough to be a chapter, the other just, like, a scene but i thought it was cute.
the shorter one is, Lear is about to leave Sandwell and sons to go to acting club, and as she's saying farewell to sandwell, she out of habit calls "goodbye, I love you!" like she calls to her family leaves, and then freezes in horror at what she's done and looks and Sandwell has this stinker look ready to spew out humorous and witty replies to that and she runs as fast as she can.
two was, Lear is at a party with Yianis, and Yianis meets this woman who is "his type" and spends a lot of time flirting and talking with her, and Lear decides she should go home, so she's just like "hey, I'm busy tomorrow, so, later" and Yianis just sort of waves it off like "yeah yeah see you"
and Lear is a little bit depressed on her way home, and she is stopped by sandwell who is like "I found out about this thing in this other town, would you like to go on a spontanious business journey with me" and Lear is like "yeah okay but i need to tell my family" and Sandwell pulls out these letters and is like "I have messages for them all, lets send them and go" and Lear is like "well...sure why not."
however as a joke Sandwell gives Yianis a note that has like, letters cut out of newspaper to have a ransom note like "we kidnapped the O'Beann girl and she is in our custody blah blah" and Yianis gets it in the morning with his coffee *chokes midsip*

Because kiss poses are horribly difficult and that one works lol. Oh really, ugh yeah that one is awful, I need to re-do a lot of those character refs at some point. Yeah he did appear a little plumper in the face department, but then again everyone appears to in those pics!
Our old cat Candy was sneaky, she'd jump up onto the chair with you and wedge herself in the side, slowly spreading out, then when you got up to get something, she'd take over the seat. she wasn't a lap cat though, she'd sit next to you but not on your lap.

Sounds like they need to go on a slum vacation - that being, they rent a house and live like 'non-rich' folk for a while lol, it'll be fun! Then everything will look so much better when they return to the lap of luxury
Oh gorrr...awkward moment, it's like when you call a teacher or boss 'mummy' by accident (I have done this far too often!) I guess the teachers should feel good that their students feel so comfy with them that they forget they're not their mother!
Sandwell would probably be delighted "I love me too! We agree!"
I'm not entirely sure if Sandwell would do the ransom thing, only because it might cause trouble beyond his control, he only causes trouble he can deflect, angering an Erimway is beyond his control, and the police would get involved, and wasting police time (even in a slow-moving town like Hattersville, they're very busy men you know) is kind of not going to make you popular. Imagine the man-hunt! imagine the emotional distress! He really WOULD be labelled a menace then!
Yianis would already wonder where she went - I mean when he finally notices she's gone...I'm trying to think of how to tweak it to work without it getting too serious...unless they made it like a scavenger hunt, like 'you paid such little attention to Lear that she has been spirited away by fairies, but follow the clues and you may just persuade them to give her back' - I imagine at first he wouldn't bother, but then would get bored without her and would start to look - though obviously that takes planning in advance...

lol well it doesn't really because Yianis came out badly... no its not i think its great! thats true of course, but i figured, you know, he's rich, so he'd look well fed at least, not all skinny.
yeah cats do that XD I imagine Yianis is kind of like, a cat you go to pet and it walks away from you and when you're like "well, okay i'll do something else" its like "wait, no, pet me" *walks after you* so Lear like, goes to be affectionate and he's like *aloof indifference* or "honestly O'Beann, you're such an overly familiar commoner" and whenever Lears just like "well... okay then." *wanders away* "wait i didn't say stop!" *follows after her*
basically how cats act, thats how i picture their relationship in my head. I'm sure Lear gets frustrated and just stops trying at some point like "I'm not chasing you anymore." *ignores him*

*has charles wipe up the tears and snot* lol by rights he shouldn't be the one putting a blanket over her, he probably ordered charles to do it for him! "I'm too busy to go on that date with her today, go do it for me charles"

oh well, i wasn't going to approach it from a drama angle, and who said Sandwell had to say he was the one who sent it? Lear would have gone home and directly told her parents where she was going and who with. I just kind of Imagine Yianis doesn't believe it at first "oh poo, no one would kidnap her, they'd kidnap someone they'd think a man would pay to have back!" *snobby horse laugh and tosses the letter into the trash* and then when Lear doesn't show up later he starts to worry. he wouldn't go to the police after the locked out of his home incident where they locked him up! *hires a terrible private detective and end up rescuing the wrong kidnapped girl* "well this is good and All but the girl i was looking for originally wasn't this attractive." *puts glasses on a potato* "she looks more like this! only with curves! profound curves! the only good part about her actually!"
lol i imagine Yianis proposes to her like he's offering a business deal. *writes a speech about why her life would be better with him that is more insulting than anything else and lets someone proof read it.* "this is good my Lord, but you've left out the part where you love her and actually want to be with her."
"she'll know that by the earnestness in my expression! besides she'll have to know all this if i'm proposing marriage when theres nothing going for her!"

you draw profiles really well! my three favorites here (in no particular order) is the one where lear is comforting yanis at the top, the one with the two of them lying down facing each other, and he one with lear initiating the kiss (in my head I was like: "yes! lear, yesss!!!). it seems like lear is more forward with yanis and more quiet with asher.

i like drawing profiles usually... only this time i was having the worst time... well, Asher is an incredibly loud personality who kind of takes over a lot. Yianis is by no means too quiet or anything, he's just... more of a tsundere XD so its fun to make Lear be blunt with him. her bluntness with Asher sin't nearly as amusing

really? I like your profiles here, especially in two of my faves of the sketches. I feel like lear being occasionally blunt with asher would surprise and please him, depending on why.
