Description
A decent photo of the whole animal. This thing doesn't have a mouth per se - seems to be a series of plates instead, though there may be a mouth hiding within them. I'd rather not try to find out! XP The back flanges got a teeny bit mushed as he fell from his cardboard box perch the night before I baked him, and the repairs were minimal.A fun, side-project of mine between work sessions and when I've needed a break from the computer. This creature really has no particular 'type' - it is just a random critter that I had a lot of fun creating. The torso and limbs are heavily influenced by canine and large felid anatomy, and it shows. I just love how Super Sculpey aids a glimpse of realism with its semi-translucency and color! I hope to make more in the future, for sure, and will be sold to whoever is interested.
This sculpture has already been sold.
Size: ~6 inches long, ~3 inches high
Medium: Super Sculpey clay, wire armature, expoxy to hold the joints together, plastic beads for eyes
Time: ~10 hours or more

This looks awesome!
Did you bake this guy with the plastic bead eyes? I would fear that they would melt.

I did bake him with the bead eyes in - he was only in for 15 minutes around 200F, and thankfully the plastic held through just fine.
Thanks for the comment! : D

This is such a cool sculpture, I'm really impressed with how detailed and consistent the anatomy looks. It makes for a very believable creature.

This guy sold for $80. ^^ I'd be willing to do other sculpts for people as well for a similar price, if they're about as complex as this one. I sold a little inch-long Carnotaurus sculpt for $7, so the range of price can vary quite a bit.
Thanks for asking!

Wanting to get into sculpting myself, so starting to poke around and figure out pricing ranges.
