Description
Eovenator (Dawn hunter) was a fairly small coyote-sized Primitive Retrosaur that lived during the mid-Triassic in what would eventually become Europe. With forwards-aligned eyes and comparatively large brain, its discovery was one of the key points in discovering that the retrosaur family was considerably more intelligent than had been previously believed. Much like modern coyotes, Eovenator was an opportunist, feeding on small animals and carrion but perfectly happy with working in packs to take down larger prey. Its willingess to eat pretty much any food item it wanted allowed for the seemingly primitive creature to survive well into the mid-Jurassic, wherupon it was outcompeted by the newly-evolved Tiny Tyrants.Probipedalis (First two-footed one) was a small, meek creature the size of a domestic cat native to Late Triassic Arizona and New Mexico. Feeding primarily on insects and small reptiles, it typically walked around on all fours, but it had a unique trick up its sleeve: its hind legs were unusually large and pronounced for its kind, allowing it to rear up on two legs. This novel trait allowed Probipedalis to get a better look at its arid scrubland environment than other animals and more easily spot predators and prey alike; in time, it would give rise to the entire carnivorous side of the retrosaur family tree.
Next two. First one is based on the Crystal Palace Megalosaurus and the various cynodonts and gorgonopsids of Skull Island, while the second is based on basal dinosaurs.
