Description Yes kids, I made my own dalek! Ten inches tall to go with my custom Barbies. Made of balsa, aluminium, Sculpy, plastic and stainless steel!

I am a hardcore geekette extraordinaire... But come on! It was (and will soon be again!) the best and longest running sci-fi show ever! @_@

"We answer to no one! We are the superior beings!"

I love those big pepper pots. My fave Dalek was the Battle Dalek with the big cannon shown during Sylvester McCoy's run. That bad boy kick green, blobby butt.

I love your Dalek! And I like how you maintained it's vintage 60s look. I have done some geekish things with my crafting skills, but not to this level. My hat off to you! You are truly a "Hardcore Geekette Extraordinaire". @_(~)

Now THAT is an impressive model. Looks almost exactly like a Dalek Supreme from the show. Very good work.

Yup! ^_~

I was gonna do the early style eye, but I found that this wound up being more expressive! Heh... a little artistic license, and certainly no more than some that's been seen rolling by the BBC cameras! *lol*

You didn't go for the supra deluxe life sized version?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

LedKitty In reply to Fallenswordsman [2004-05-24 04:38:50 +0000 UTC]

Nope! Third story apartment almost literally choked with various hobbies obviates that choice!

Fallenswordsman In reply to LedKitty [2004-05-24 07:41:10 +0000 UTC]

Yes, but with just one Dalek, you should be able to clear out the rest of the apartment. Just climb in and walk around crying "Exterminate". Just as long as you don't fall down any stairs in it. Wish I had a dalek.

OMG SO THAT'S WHY, IN SID N' NANCY, JOHNNY ROTTEN WAS ALL LIKE (SUPER CAPS) "EXTEHHHMINATE, EXTEHHHHHHMINATE"

👍: 0 ⏩: 0

LedKitty [2004-05-20 03:10:00 +0000 UTC]

Um.. Well picture lots and lots of them, about 5' tall, gliding around London, shooting people with their gun arms and screaming "EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE!"

Picture a horribly mutated little squishy crab thing, devoid of all emotions save hatred inside pseudo indestructible combat wheelchairs.

Seriously, generations of British children grew up cowering behind their sofas when these things were on the screen!

LedKitty In reply to tin-squid [2004-05-19 11:38:37 +0000 UTC]

Oooh boy... Do a search for "dalek" on Google, or ebay, or anything! You'll have more info than you can handle! They're from Doctor Who! They were the most popular villains over the course of the show's 35 years and even had two movies about them! They first rolled onto the screen in 1963 in an episode called "The Mutants", Doctor Who's second episode! ^_~
