A fake screenshot for a battle in The Crossover Game. As mentioned before, the overall gameplay is very similar to Super Smash Bros, so I reflected on this in the picture seen here.
Except for Batman, all of the characters in this image were rendered from screenshots I took from their source games.

This image depicts a battle between Ryu (in his Super Smash Bros appearance), Trevor Philips (in his custom outfit from GTA V on the PS4), Batman (as he appears in Injustice: Gods Among Us), and Naruto Uzumaki (in his Seventh Hokage costume from Naruto Storm 4). The background is a street in Sandy Shores from Grand Theft Auto V, taken from the third video in my "Welcome to San Andreas" series on YouTube.

The characters and their connections to each other are listed below:
1. Ryu is teamed up with Johnny Gat from the Saints Row series (in his Divekick design). These two are paired together because they are both guest fighters in fighting games from outside of their series (Ryu in Smash Bros and Johnny in Divekick), and though I own more games that feature these characters on PlayStation systems (Marvel vs Capcom, Street Fighter x Tekken, Saints Row: The Third, and Gat out of Hell), I associate them with Xbox (Saints Row debuted as an Xbox 360 exclusive, and I have only played non-crossover Street Fighter games on Xbox systems).

2. Trevor Philips is teamed up with evil Delsin Rowe from inFamous: Second Son. Aside from the fact that both Second Son and Grand Theft Auto V remastered were among my very first PS4 games, the outfit I always customize Trevor to wear is a direct nod to Evil Delsin (a red shirt, black vest, and a beanie, though the beanie isn't pictured). Additionally, both GTA and inFamous are sandbox games.

3. Batman is teamed up with Scorpion from Mortal Kombat. Since this is the Injustice version of Batman, it just seemed natural to team him up with NetherRealm Studios' mascot since both games were developed by Ed Boon and both games feature Scorpion.

4. Naruto is teamed up with Gravity Rush's Kat for several reasons. Both characters are associated with an animal partner (Kat's cat, Dusty, and Naruto's Tailed Beast, Kurama) and can transform into a powered up state through said partners, both are rendered in the original art style of their home series, and both series use cel-shaded graphics, I have often joked that one of Kat's attacks in her gravity panther form looks like a "gravity Rasengan" in PlayStation All-Stars, and Naruto and Kat are my personal mascots for both my YouTube channel, Deviantart avatar, and Facebook page. Additionally, both Naruto Storm 4 and Gravity Rush Remastered were scheduled to release in North America on Feburary 9th, 2016, though Gravity Rush launched early.
