Description This is a bunch of screen shots from the game Viri that I helped make as a part of an independent study with Andrew Kane, Gus, and Nick. I'd put their last names, but I don't know all of them. I made all of the 3-D models for the game, except for the level layout, which are height maps built by the computer from a bitmap. I also helped with the control system and programmed the rotation of the character and camera system according to the movement of the mouse, and programmed the charcter to move in the direction he was facing. This all required the use of trigonometry to calculate angles of rotation and what not. I can give more details if you want, and a download of the game will eventually be available to the public. I know it's a rough game, but it was sort of rushed; so I realize that my models aren't that great, but I'm kind of proud of them, especially the 3-D grenade I built which is pretty kick ass (not pictured here)!!

** I would like you to know that the quality of this animated GIF is crap, and does NOT look as good as the actual in game graphics. In the process of making the animated gif, I realized gifs have a max of 255 colors, while our game had, many, many more, so the images had to be "optimized" to contain less color, and thus look crappy.

Also, due to the complexity and annoyance of some of the XNA features, we were not able to animate the character inside the game, even though the character does have some animation. We weren't able to program XNA to advance the model from keyframe to keyframe, as that was attempted at the last minute (my fault entirely).
