Off they go, in search of the abandoned mill on Eastside. Roll, not as used to walking long distances as either Rock or Impact Man, hitches a ride on the big guy's back as he flies.

Once they get there, Impact Man knocks on the door.

Impact Man: Excuse us, "Dark Men", we believe? *as Vermelho opens the door* Rock told us you'd taken residence in this abandoned mill here.
Vermelho: Why do you ask?
Impact Man: There are strange yellow orbs falling down from the sky, and they've been turning various robots into the opposite of their true selves.
Rock: Yeah, I suspect it was you guys, if it wasn't Dr. Wily.
Vermelho: Don't look at me. I know nothing about this.
Roll: Are you sure?
Roxo: Yeah, he's real sure alright!
Impact Man: Listen, you four - if you don't tell us the truth, *Power Gear* be prepared for the raw power we have at our disposal.
Vermelho: I-is that a Power Gear?
Impact Man: Indeed it is! Now confess, lest we--
Roxo: SHOOT!! We're no match for that robot, even as a team! ...Those robots? Boss, get outta there!!
Vermelho: Cripe, you're right!

Alas, the sight of Vermelho scurrying back inside has disappointed Impact Man. He basically has no choice but to turn off the Power Gear, partially to avoid exhaustion.

Impact Man: ...Y-you should come out now, we're not Power Geared anymore.
Vermelho: *opening the door again* You sure?
Impact Man: *nod nod*
Rock: If it wasn't you who sent those balls falling, then who was it?
Vermelho: I got a call from Enker last night. I think he said *assumes the form of Enker* "We got a pretty big plan tomorrow, and it involves throwing these balls down from space" *changes back* or something.
Rock: I dunno... Wily's pretty famous for being dishonest... And that incident with Proto Man?
Vermelho: I'm not lying this time, I SWEAR.
Impact Man: That means we're headed off to Dr. Wily's laboratory, to tell those Mega Man Killers off once and for all! ...Do you know where it's located?
Rock: I had to go there for Christmas once - it's at the edge of Darkwood Route.
