My last shot from June 8th is of Mare Imbrium, the Sea of Rains. One of the largest craters in the Solar System, Mare Imbrium was formed during the Late Heavy Bombardment. Lava flooded the crater, forming the plain we see today. It's not quite as flat as it looks at first glance; even this amateur shot reveals quite a few smaller craters on the mare.My Equipment:
