Description
This one is easily one of the most famous stars in the sky. Also known as the North Star or Pole Star, Polaris is the brightest star in the constellation Ursa Minor. The yellow supergiant is actually part of a multi-star system, though I don't believe the fainter star in this shot is one of them. It's too widely separated, and my low northern sky is probably too light-polluted to pick them out with my current telescope.Taken way back during my excellent January 27th observing session using my Meade DS-2080 refractor, Meade 25mm Ploessl eyepiece, Celestron smartphone adapter, and iPhone SE (2nd Gen)
