Description || Gerel Character Profile ||

Age: 22 [During her introduction in book 2]

Race: Faery

Gender: Female (She/Her)

Sexuality: Pansexual

Height: 5’6”

Favorite Color: Turquoise

Favorite Personal item: A woven green scarf Ewan gave her.

Family: Gerel was the daughter of a duchess of the Guelin nation (this nation resides on a continent far from Vale), but became an orphan at a young age due to a civil war. Pirates came to Gerel’s home which had recently been ravaged by war, and being only a child and the sole survivor of her family was all alone. The pirate captain took pity on the young girl and took her in as his own. When the pirate captain died due to a rivalry with another pirate faction Gerel took his place, and sought revenge on the rival clan.

Ethnic Background: Gerel is of Moon Fae decent on both sides of her family, which is an ethnic faction of Faeries.

Occupation: As a pirate Gerel has no true occupation however she is adeptly skilled at strategic planning, astral navigation, swordplay and needlework.

Personality: Cunning, Loyal and Charming. Gerel has learned to manipulate her personality to fit any situation, as it comes in handy when executing a diversion for a heist or talking herself out of a sticky situation. And while she’s an expert and saying exactly what you want to hear she has her rare moments of true vulnerability, Vin being one of the few that managed to reveal such a side. At times Gerel questions who she really is, as her life has been quite the whirlwind as she often puts it. But when it comes to the lives and well-being of her crew and the few others that have won over her trust and love, there is nothing that she wouldn’t do for them. Her sense of morality is quite greyed and while many might consider some of her actions horrific Gerel has little sense of remorse when severe action needed to be taken to save those she loves or to “do the right thing” according to her.
