At some point in the original comics he decided that his place with the Foot Clan now and didn`t responded when received an alarm signal from the family`s lair.
It was the day when Leo lost his hand. Yeр.
So this time Raphael must at least go ask what happened there and how he can help. Not as Shredder but as a brother.
He's still kind of ashamed of what the clan does. Although too stubborn to admit it. But after the incident with the Triceratons he believes that the Foot clan can be turned into good.
And Cheng is an old conservative ninja. He does not like the idea that someone is going to change something
