I watched Thor yesterday and I really enjoyed it!When I first watched the trailer I was like: wtfomg.how.ridiculous.is.it. Seriously, the hammer design was... not what I expected.
But then the cast and the director convinced to watch it anyway. It was not perfect but still a good movie.
Anthony Hopkins was great as Odin, Tom Hiddleston looked great as Loki and I was curious to see how the director who is known for Shakespeare-movies would implement a Marvel comic into a movie. On the whole, it was a lot better than I thought!
Oh, I also love the look of Chris Hemsworth as Thor! He looked sweet, dangerous and sexy! And Natalie Portman is SO pretty!

And I think pretty much everyone's expectation for the movie was pretty low because the trailers made it look so crap-tastic.
But When you go into a movie with low expectations, if it's a good movie it will be made all that much better, because you weren't expecting it

Love this! He looks very dangerous. And hot.
Branagh has said in a few places words to the effect of "Shakespeare is comics". That larger than life, epic feel is there in both. I was surprised that Marvel was able to convince Branagh to do it, but once he was in, I knew he'd do well with it. Even though it's a totally different sort of budget!

I actually didn't like the 3d feature of the movie! There are a lot of movie which aren't worth the 3d effect. Like, it would be the same when watching it in 2d. I guess they are doing 3d also because of the profit gained by that.... >_> Problem was that some scene were so blurry and heavy to focus. The action scenes are hard to follow when not composed for 3d, I think. The only movie which used the 3d effect well was Avatar.
