Description
shutdown your drawing skills and be in copy mode! when you guys get the process to work for you, you'd realize that it's easier than drawing from scratch.sketch was done in 10-15 minutes and I took a bit longer in coloring
My wife has already contracted me to do 2 drawings of my in-laws.... hehe....
have fun folks!

it's much appreciated! it's really good to know that pro comic artists like yourself arent at a plateau that other people can't reach. you've probably done a lot now to encourage people to keep working at becoming better artists

You're so true about that. Copying is so much more easier, but dose it help in developing your drawing sikillz or does it harm them, that's the question.

I think it would help since you are broadening your "visual vocabulary". I'm guessing I will have more ways of drawing lips noses and eyes (on the fly) instead of my generic ones.
I have books on faces and the like but I'm too lazy to open them up to draw distinctive faces.... this way, it will be sort of ingrained in me.

I would say that you are amonster with the pencil, i would say that you are a beast, but you already know that. So i will simply say............dope shit, i like that you spent close to nothing on the drawing and then went in and gave it the SUPER touch-up with the coloring, dope.

ahaha! well its sooner or later, people 'will' ask you to draw them now, i guess not having the ability to copy has just flew out the window fer ya
which is good right? u did an amazing job with Ian Mckellen a.k.a Gandalf, Magneto etc.
um i got a stupid question did u drew this from memory or reference?

from reference on my computer screen.
It would take an autistic savant/genius to draw likeness from memory, I would think. hehe...

That a very cool image,
but I must say I totally against the method presented in the link you brought last time..
you are very wellcome to visit my gallery, I have made many portrait work, some of it on there
I follow, ot at list try, a method that keeps you foucused on the major parts of the object, and after finding the right relation ships starting to render in the smaller and smaller ones..
Still cool stuff! and it has nothing to do with it but your avengers ROCK!

nice gallery obviously, you have a working method as well.... that was the method I tried to do before and I fail most of the time. You seem to be successful with it. Good for you.
As long as you can make it work, cool!

I really don't want to sound like I'm giving you tips here since I believe you went thrue all that I still haven't, but for the "big" shapes and tones work it's better to work with thick materials, I love the charcoal, but there are many different options, your work, at liss from what I see, is based on line work- and that is extrimly hard to put on the big shapes kind of method.. if you didn't I suggest you try since your sensetivity to shapes is much better then that dude in youtube, but don't you dare () changing any thing about your comic drawing method! please...
