Description My entry in to The Art of Reduction.

This piece is about that feeling we get when we β€˜break through’ our personal barriers. This can relate to achieving certain goals, reaching the next stage of life, or even just overcoming a difficult period of time. The struggle leaves a mark on us; our wounds are physical, mental and emotional, but it is all worth it when we smash through the barriers that were holding us back.

Materials: old window frames, broken glass, plastic bags, newspapers, old clothes.

I do love the concept, I think it's really nice. Any further touches, i'd say maybe a little bit of newspaper, etc. coming out of his jeans at the bottom. But that's just me.

I originally did stuff some paper in the bottom of the jeans, but it kept falling out....I could have glued it in or something, but time was a factor and just didn't happen.
