Description (Marionette Spider Part 5) Josephina felt like she had been riding on that spider for hours. The entire time it was an uncomfortable ride, either she kept being jostled by the hardened carapace of the spider or its stiff hairs were causing her to itch. Then after a time she noticed a movement in the dark. When the spider approached the movement, all Josephina could say was "OH GOD! There is another one!" Suddenly, the spider she was riding stopped. Then after a brief pause the other spider noticed them. That spider then took what Josephina thought was an aggressive stance, but didn't approach them. The spider she was riding then quickly climbed up the wall, and it then used its abdomen to launch her forward. As she went forward her arms were then caught by the web they were still entwined in, and she swung down. She was now dangling between two very large spiders. As she hung there the spider above her then jabbed her in the stomach as if to cause her to move around again. All Josephina could do was hang from above, kick her legs around, and hope someone would save her.

The male marionette will then search out a female when it senses her pheromones in the cave/dungeon/ruins. The male does its best to avoid females otherwise, because while female marionettes are a little smaller they are much more aggressive and territorial. Once it finds a female it will stop at a distant to try and size her up. If the male happens to be smaller than the female, she will attack him. The females will never lay their eggs for a smaller male, and will generally try to eat them. Once the male thinks he'll be ok he will climb up and dangle his prize in front of the female. The male will try to poke and prod the prey without the female noticing, so the prey will be more lively. The more lively the spider's "marionette" the more likely the female will be impressed. The female will then examine the prey, and decide if it is a worthy gift or not.
