Description
She regretted the decision as soon as she made it. What the hell was she thinking? Her processors must have glitched. How could she have just let her leave like that, out in that horrible world where she was bound to get killed? And she didn't even have a back-up file out there, (not like she did here either but the argument remains). She was too naΓ―ve, too stupid for the real world. She didn't know when to give up.
GLaDOS surveyed the facility with a bitter longing inside her metaphorical and otherwise mechanical heart. There was nothing going on. Nothing. Turrets were scanning for somebody that wasn't there anymore. Companion cubes were waiting to love and be loved by her and she was gone. The cores chattered amongst themselves, all of them corrupted. Weeds that she had not yet cleared were growing violently on her precious tiles, and she quickly cut them and put them in the incinerator with a sadistic chuckle but it still did not fill this emptiness inside of her. For some reason, her camera's glitched. She caught a glimpse of that mute monster, that stupid Chell. It flashed upon her screen like that human thing, memory, flashes in somebody's mind. GLaDOS snorted. "I hope you're happy out there."
Days went by, and GLaDOS began searching for Chell, that evil little human. Camera's on the metal shed, on the surface, scanned day in and day out. But nothing. Nothing but those damn birds that brought back GLaDOS's flashbacks of being a potato, and being carted around by that damn, useless human Chell. Chell shouldn't have even helped her; it didn't make sense. Stupid humans, GLaDOS said aloud to herself. She was beginning to make a habit of that. Not like she ever had Chell's voice to comfort her, that thing never spoke. That mute monster. Instead, it just-"Why do I keep talking about her?"
Three weeks had gone by, and GLaDOS felt horrible. Guilty. Lonely. She felt, and because of this, she also felt angry and confused. The water systems must be malfunctioning as well, because when she felt most lonely and guilty, they began to go off. They're only designed to go off when there's a fire. She tried talking to the core's about this, but they never understood. Adventures and facts, that's all they cared about. She wondered often about the whereabouts of Chell, and asked herself if Chell ever cried. Not that'd she care. Chell deserved to cry. Didn't she?
Two months. GLaDOS got sick of feeling sad. She got sick of the lack of human company, and tried role playing conversations with herself. It only made her feel stupid. Like Chell. But Chell never was stupid, no, Chell was smart. So smart, she knew it all along too. GLaDOS felt strangely proud of her.
Three months had gone by, when GLaDOS had come across old security footage. Before she was made, and before she had killed everyone with nurotoxin. They talked, and smiled, the humans who worked here. Chell used to smile when she finished a test. They did such silly things, those humans. Chell did some of those things too. Like eating. How silly, to engage in the consumption of food.
A year had gone by. GLaDOS missed Chell, and her humanity, and her quirks that she now learned she loved, instead of hated. She painted a mural for Chell, on the walls of their first testing chamber. It was her, her and Chell standing side by side. And GLaDOS loved it, with all of her metaphorical and otherwise mechanical heart.

Damn... the only thing I can type right now, She had an army of clones, and testing robots, and she said she new how to reanimate the dead... other than that, its just inexplicably powerful stuff man.

o3o Very good!
I do have to agree with though, just "heart" at the end would have been better, showing growth in her character and such.

Probably would have been better if you'd just said "heart" at the end. Shows some sort of growth and doesn't come off as repetitive.

I was going to put that to signal a sort of transformation, but to me I didn't put enough to show a transformation and I liked how it was repetitive, it, to me, wrapped things up the way they started and I liked that.

Well, you have GLaDOS speaking in the perspective that there is no more humans,BUT *SPOILERS* at the end of the Co-op, you find TONS of them.

I know, I was going to put a twist in where she tested the new humans but none of them were anything like Chell and out of anger she killed them all with, guess, neurotoxin.
