Description
You panicked. Lukas wouldn’t have talked to Emil about you. At least, not yet. The heavens keep the records of everyone, and as you soared back to the heavens, you searched through the records on Lukas’ life. Lukas never did tell Emil about you, your position as God, or your human name. Why would Emil ever know your name?*The next day*
As soon as Lukas’ school ended, you flew down to find Arthur. Seeing Arthur on the roof and reading a book of spells like he usually does, you landed right in front of him, startling the poor guy. “God, please don’t do that!” Arthur, startled, screamed at you. “Shhhh! Arthur, not so loud! The humans would find me!” You shushed Arthur in an attempt to stop him from panicking. “Oh lord, please don’t do that. A lady shoul-“ “Arthur!” Arthur turned around and sighed.
“My apologies, love. I am not used to seeing ladies falling down from the skies like that.” Arthur sighed again. “Alright. I have something I need to ask of you…” Arthur could sense anxiousness coming out of your voice. “Is it something to do with Lukas?”
“No, it’s actually his younger brother, Emil… Do you know any humans that know my name? Like, not God, but (your name).” Your averted your eyes, not even wanting to know his answer. If humanity finds out about your existence, you know the bad ones would come to exploit you, and you would be forced to wipe out humanity itself. The situation is not good.
“Love, I know what you are thinking. Humans don’t know about your existence. Only special ones do. Like me. Most of them think pro-science, nowadays.” Arthur tried to calm you down. He himself knew that if you were to be attacked, you would be forced to wipe humanity. “Have some tea, love. Maybe you should confront Emil himself, and ask him."
You tried to calm down, and Arthur poured you a cup of tea from the thermos he always kept with him.
“Thanks, Arthur. I should go do that.” With those words, you flew from the roof, and scanned the crowds for Emil. As Arthur was left alone, he thought to himself, “I wonder why a God would be friends with a sorcerer, like me?”
You flew into the skies, and scanned the roads of any sign of Emil. Seeing him in the crowds, you followed him, and landed on a nearby tree. I hope that he knows nothing about me. If he does… The train of thought trailed off in your mind. Although Emil was a kind person inside, he always shuts other people out. Dealing with him is no easy matter.
You jumped down from the tree, and caught up with Emil. “Hey Emil!” Emil seemed to hear you, and turned around, seeing you wave at him. Once again, you saw Emil waver at the sight of your face, but he shrugged it off and walked towards you. “…(your name)? Can I talk to you in private?” Emil whispered, and you flinched, but you pretended to smile, and replied, “It’s fine. Let’s find somewhere… quieter.”
You and Emil walked into his house, and entered his bedroom, and Emil proceeded to lock the door. You sat down in his chair, and he sat down on his bed. The silence between the two of you was deafening, and you were too anxious to ask Emil about how he knew your existence. After a long pause, he spoke up.
“You know, (your name)… I knew who you were since I was a child.” Emil tried to speak calmly. “I never forgot my days as a god.”
