“But there’s no way you could’ve remembered! Every single reincarnation, you never did!” You nearly screamed from the revelation, but tried to calm yourself. You then stood up, and casted a spell to prevent anyone from hearing your conversation with Emil.

Certainly, it was true. It was true. Emil was once a god. “Emil, why did you not tell me this?” You finally sat back down again after pacing the room like a madwoman. You were dumbstruck. When you were left alone in the heavens, you thought that no one remembers you because you granted their wish and made them human without their memories, and that nearly plunged you into darkness. You nearly ended the world itself, if not for the fact that your people were on it. But you steeled yourself, and became the only god to govern the world.

“Please tell me, Emil… Tell me!” Your face was wet with tears. Emil looked away shamefully. “I… made a promise. But I can no longer pretend not to remember you. I’ve always remembered you, (your name).” To hear the truth from Emil broke your heart into pieces. To think that all this time he had been lying to you… You clenched your teeth. Emil clearly saw your anger, and decided to come clean. “As you know, I… govern memories of humanities and of everyone, even among gods. And somehow, even after becoming a human, I retain everything. I felt your emotions, even as a human.” Emil spoke, but his speech became quieter until he was nearly inaudible.

You also saw tears in his violet blue eyes. Your heart gave in, and both of you sobbed. You hugged Emil, and said, “Emil… I forgive you. I should’ve known.” As your position is among the highest of the gods, you were treated as a queen. But no one is there anymore. You were alone on a lonely throne, staring down at humanity. But now, Emil is with you. One of your advisors and best friends… here with you.

“Emil! Have you seen (your name)?” Lukas' voice came from the door, startling you out of your thoughts. You wiped your eyes and pretended nothing happened, undoing the spell on the door. Emil wiped his eyes with tissues, and then replied to Lukas, “Like hell I’ll tell you.” Lukas rolled his eyes, and opened the door to Emil’s room.

In Lukas’ surprise, (your name) was sitting on the bed, next to Emil, with playing cards in your hands. Lukas said nothing, and slammed the door.You quickly followed him. Stomping his way down the hall, he kicked open his bedroom door, and closed it harshly in your face, and you opened it before he could lock it.

You were taken aback by Lukas’ angry behavior, and became worried. “Lukas, are you alright? Please don’t be angry with Emil. He’s done noth- “ Before you could even finish your sentence, you were cut off by Lukas’ deep growl. “(your name), why were you with him?” You looked straight into Lukas’ eyes, and said to him, “Lukas, I… did nothing. He knew who I was, just like you did. It’s fine.”

*Lukas POV*

Why? How? How did Emil know her existence? I shouldn’t even worry about that. (your name) is God and what she does is absolute. I should not have been worried about it. What she does with Emil is not what I should think about. It’s not even her fault. I took a deep breath. Why am I lashing out at her? It’s not as if she was some girl I was in love with. How can I be so irrational, just like that fool? I can’t be in love with God… There’s no way.

*Normal POV*

As Lukas was not responding, and his usual expressionless dark blue eyes was not looking at you. “Lukas… I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to make you angry.” You apologized, sitting down on his bed. Lukas shook his head silently in reply, and sat down next to you. “I was being stupid, (your name). I always forget that you were a God; that you belonged to everyone. I should never have had that… outburst.” Lukas started, with his voice quiet, and deep in regret of his actions.

“Hey Lukas, you know, we’re friends. Please don’t hide anything from me.” You hugged Lukas, and he returned your warm embrace. “I’m sorry. I didn’t intend for that to happen. Next time, I’ll be more rational.” Lukas let go of you, and looked at you in the eye. “Lukas, it’s fine. I’ll always be here for you.” You looked at him sadly, and stroke his head.

“It’s been a long day… I’ll be going back to heaven. Tell everyone goodnight from me, won’t you, Lukas?” Lukas nodded, and you jumped off his balcony, and flew towards the night skies. Playing in the clouds and looking at the full moon, you wondered if it was only Emil who retained his own memories…

*On the other side of town*

“Hey, Tino… Do you think Emil is acting weird nowadays?” Mathias suddenly asked a question. Tino was surprised. Mathias was always so carefree, and hardly cared about his surroundings. IT is rare to see him talk about anything else other than being the ‘King of Northern Europe’ or ‘awesomeness itself’.

As if he could read Tino’s thoughts, Mathias pouted, “I do care! I just don’t talk about it! Sheesh!” Tino replied with a smile, “Yes, Mathias, we know that…” Berwald merely glared in reply to Mathias, who seemed to be a little too friendly with his “wife”.

“I agree. Maybe it’s a girl…” Tino suggested to stop Berwald from killing Mathias with his glares. “Like hell that little shut-in would get a girlfriend.” Mathias scoffed in reply. This really ticked Berwald off, and earned Mathias a hit to the head. “OW! How dare you hit the King of the Northern Europe!” Mathias nearly whimpered in reply, but shouted in retaliation.

Tino merely sighed.
