"Nee, Kiku-chan…"

"Kiku?" Your voice echoes throughout the whole house, but there was no one answering. Knowing that he was probably on his deadline, and you, being his editor, had to collect the manga he draws by the end of each month, as well as come to his house nearly every single week to help with the process. "Ojamashimasu.(Sorry for interrupting.)" Whispering, you took of your shoes after that one day when Kiku was scolding you for wearing shoes into his house(on purpose).

Stepping into the house, you search for Kiku and found him sleeping in the living room. His chocolate brown eyes were closed, his eyelashes were long in your observations. You made yourself at home, sitting down on the floor and quietly putting your legs underneath the tea table. Kiku's quiet snoring as well as his slender frame slumped itself on the table, and you smiled at the peaceful sight of your friend. "Ano ne, (name)-san…" Kiku murmured in his sleep, slurring his words adorably, as you squealed at the sight. Upon hearing the sharp-pitched noise, Kiku stirred. You froze, thinking that he was going to wake up, but he went back to sleep in a few seconds. Fearing that Kiku would wake up with a cold, you decided to fetch a blanket to cover Kiku.

Draping the blanket over Kiku, you see that beneath his eyes there were dark rings, showing that he had put in extra effort on the finished product that the publishers had been waiting for for so long. You yourself are not exactly healthy, as you lose a lot of sleep over work and stress as well. Deciding that taking a nap would be okay, you leaned down on the tea table and slept peacefully.

"Are?" Opening his drowsy eyes and running his hand through his midnight black hair, Kiku looked around and saw you sleeping and noticed that he had a blanket draped over him. He smiled, contented with your tranquil appearance. You were generous at most times, but you were also hard-working and serious a lot of times. He felt he had had enough sleep, and so got up to make some food for you and himself.

"Ano, (name)-san. Ohayou(Good morning)." Kiku woke you up, and your groggy attitude just made him adore you more. Rubbing sleep out of your eyes, you asked, "Kiku, what time is it?" Kiku smiled and said, "Oh, its 7 in the morning." You sprang up, suddenly aware of your surroundings. "WHAT?!" Kiku tries to calm you down, "Oh, don't worry. I already sent in the manuscript, and today's a Saturday." You slumped back in relief, thinking that your boss would murder you if you did not hand in the manuscript on time. "Well, don't worry about staying over." Having your sight returned to you, you realized that you were sleeping in a futon. Kiku must have carried you here… You blushed a deep shade of red, invoking a worried Kiku. "(name)-san, are you alright? You seem red." You replied, stuttering, "I'm fine. Daijoubu.(I'm fine)." Suddenly, thinking of something great, you stood up, brushed your skirt and said to Kiku, "Since its such a nice morning in Spring, why don't we go see the sakura?"

You finished your breakfast and then waited for Kiku to get dressed. He was surprisingly fashionable, despite being such a shut in when writing a manga. Luckily, you brought a spare change of normal clothes (for no apparent reason), you got changed into a loose white dress with a navy blue belt, with a cute cardigan along with normal flats. As usual, Kiku dresses in a nice way with a blue shirt a hat as well as jeans, something you did not see him wear often. You were delighted to see that Kiku was rather attractive. Holding your hand out, you say, "Let's go!" As Kiku whispers, "Please, don't get into my personal space…" Although you pouted, he silently chuckled at your cute response.

Bringing all sorts of nice food in the picnic basket, you and Kiku settled down underneath one of the sakura trees in the forest. "Woah… It's so beautiful, Kiku." You gaped in wonder, and Kiku just smiles at you. He had liked you for a long time now, but he couldn't bring himself up to the task of confessing to you. You had been a person he relied on for a long, long time, as childhood friends. You liked playing with the boy as well as help him with his dream. He could not bring himself to be your boyfriend; he was scared of breaking a relationship with one of the friends he has.

Meanwhile, you stared at the sakura trees and thought of your childhood as well. There was a school you went to; you walked through a path of sakura trees, and walked with Kiku, only the two of you, to school. You had so much fun; you became overwhelmed with nostalgia and remembered that you really liked Kiku. Your memories of the times spent with him was so special to you, and the times never did fade away from your mind. You decided that Kiku was too good of a person who is too controlling at times and you had made up your mind that you had to be fine, if he marries someone that isn't you. Your eyes were filled to the brim with tears, but you wiped them away and decided to stop thinking about anything else and start eating some snacks Kiku made.

Seeing you wipe your eyes, in spite of coming to the place you wanted to come to most, Kiku reached up to you and says, "(name)-san, are you alright?" You dismiss what Kiku says and replied with a fake smile, "I'm fine, Kiku. Just a bit nostalgic." Kiku saw through that smile, and his heart was drowned with sadness. "Please tell me the truth." You turned around, finding that Kiku is actually wrapping his arms around you! You gasped in surprise. Kiku has always despised body contact, and he suddenly hugs you.

You inhaled and exhaled deeply, wondering if you should tell him the truth that you like him or not. Kiku continues to hug, his warmth interrupting your thoughts, and making you decide to tell him. "Kiku-chan, anata ga daisuki." As the last words leave your mouth, you felt Kiku kissing you, and finally had your answer after all these years of waiting. Kiku smiled into the kiss, happy that his wish has been granted after hearing what you used to call him in the past. "Anata mo daisuki." You both kissed again under the never-ending falling of sakura petals.

"Ikimashou, Kiku-chan! (Let's go, Kiku)" You shouted and grinned, racing Kiku along the path where the sakura blooms.
