I couldn't tell where I was....or how I had even gotten here. All I knew was that I was surrounded by this darkness....this never ending cold darkness. The air was still, and not a sound could be heard anywhere. It was just me....standing here...breathing....trying to figure things out. As if to add to my curiosity, I suddenly saw a tiny speckle of light. If anything, it could have been a way out of this place.
Shivering, I slowly made my way to it. Walking there seemed to take forever, but I finally managed to get there after a while. I hadn't noticed, but until I got closer, there was a small figure. It was sitting next to a stand and upon it a candle with a small lit flame. Its back was turned to me and it seemed to have long ears that were drooped down, covering its face. I couldn't move. Honestly I was a little frightened of the sight, my own imagination starting to get the best of me as I started to think this thing would turn around and end it all for me in an instant.

But it didn't.

Instead the figure sniffled.
"Who are you?" it said in a shallow voice.

I didn't speak....I didn't know if I wanted this thing to know.

"Please tell me...." He asked again, this time a far bit more sadness in it's voice.

"I...." Wait....was this really safe?....no...maybe...I don't know...but... "I am....just a person." Not clever, but it was all I could muster at the moment.

"Please come around." The figure said to me, pointing to the opposite side. "I can't see you."

Ugh, now it wanted to see me?....I also pondered this, but what the heck...maybe it could tell me where I am.

I made my way around the figure and stood there, tilting my head. I really could not see it's face...and the odd shadow creeped me out.

"It's lonely here." Said the figure to me. "So many years...I've been wandering in this darkness...I can never tell if it's day...or night...it's just the shadows...all of the time." The figure shook a little, sniffling more. "I've never spoken to anyone...until you came along......are you here to be my friend?"

Wait....friend? I thought for a bit, thinking I should just play along for now.

"Yes." I answered it.

The figure said nothing...it just sat there...holding the candle stand, keeping it's face hidden from me. What the hell did it even look like?

"Will you help me?" He asked. So many questions, it was starting to get a little aggravating, but I nodded.

"This place...the shadows....they're always trying to hurt me. When I found this candle, I was so happy to have something. It's the only comfort I know....you....you're not from here right? You must know what it's like to be surrounded by light...yes?"

I nodded again, really unsure of where this was going.

The figure suddenly began standing, getting to its feet and using the candle stand for support. "Its warm right?....The light you feel....I feel warm too..." The figure waved a hand across the small flame slowly, letting the fire lick at his fingers as they passed. "The shadows....they don't like the light...not at all...they're trying to take it away from me...so why?....Why can't I have some light of my own?"

It's ears moved, and slowly, the figure raised it's head.

What I saw sent chills down my spine.

It's eyes...they had a white glow.... but of course those didn't bother me.

It was that smile.

A crooked smile that had the same glow at it's eyes...only, it seemed forced and unnaturally wide.

Bringing it's paw to it's chin, the figure tilted it's head at me.

"Do I not deserve the light...?"

The making part of this pic freaked me out more then the finished drawing itself |D;;;

Damn I love the concept of Forsaken Forte. Just another creepy something for Halloween if it actually creeps out anybody. I suck at writing, but you know, I did what I could.

Inspiration from this comes from my buddies and for RPing Forsaken Forte bits with me. They've helped me in the developing process so i'm very greatful to them ;v;, thanks a bunch guys!
