Name: Locke ((True name unknown))

Age: 957.

Gender: Male

Species: Fox/ Graveyard Fox

Job Graveyard Guardian

Likes: He can't seem to remember much of the things he enjoyed over the years. But he seems to enjoy his job, and enjoys the realm of spirits and nature.

Dislikes: Those who disrespect the dead, grave robbers/diggers.

Personality: Wise, cautious, independent and a loner. He mostly hides himself away, rarely seen by anyone who enters the graveyard he is bound too. Although, he is very open to his own kind, and only allows them into a special part of the grave consisting of their ancestors. Very personal about space.

Abilities and duties: As Guardian of the Graveyard, it is his job to keep spirits of those who passed at rest, making sure none come back as vengeful beings. He also keeps grave diggers/robbers away by scaring them away with his blue colored flame.

His whole body is composed of flame. When gathered together, he takes a physical form of what you see now, and he is able to disperse the flames that can cover every inch of the graveyard in order to keep watch of it.

With people, he can allow only a select few to converse with those who have passed away.

He can also steal souls with his scythe, but it is a rare occasion for that.

Bio: Long ago, Locke's parents passed away. When he was still a child, he had always been very close to them, and would almost do anything in his power to keep watch over them.

Both his mother and father had always been in poor health, so it was usually always up to him to keep things running in his home; like cooking, cleaning, etc. while taking care of his parents at the same time.

The connection he had with his parents was so deep in fact, that he would go very far as to travel to other towns to obtain medicine, and other supplies by many means.

He was a thief, and with the way a creature of his nature was treated by human beings, he didn't mind scaring the living daylights out of everyone. He'd do anything to keep his parents healthy and well.

But it didn't last....

During one winter, Locke was hit hard with trying to help his family survive.

One night, during a powerful storm, his parents sickness finally won. During the final night with his mother and father, nuzzled between them for warmth, his parents silently passed away.

With his little body and strength, he tried his hardest to carry them away, and bury them somewhere. Unable to make it very far, he spent all of his time in the cold, digging into the frozen ground in order to give them proper burials. Exposed to the harsh winter air, Locke became severely ill as well. It only took a few weeks for his sickness to worsen, until his condition became fatal.

Before his own death, he cursed his body, and bound it to the graves of his parents so that he could watch over them for as long as he could. Unable to become a full ghost however, his spirit was set ablaze, burning away his physical body, and turning it into a whole other entity. The flame that burned was now his life force, and he could do with it as he pleased. He spent those years alone, watching over the spirits of his parents at his own handcrafted graves.

That was 943 years ago....

As the passing years continued on, the area he lived in, which was a small little forest was subject to change.

First, humans tried to rid the place of all of it's trees.
But he scared them away.

Then humans tried to form towns for permanent residency. He also scared them away.

He continued fighting against the humans will to rid the place that was once the home to his family. Those many years continued to pass, until one day, he was greeted by a dark figure, a scythe held in what seemed bony hands.

"Guardian of these two spirits." The dark voice called to him. "You've done well to protect these two spirits and their home. I have watched you for many years, and would like to offer you a job."

The boy looked at this dark figure, curious as to what he offered.

He was told that if he accepted the offer, he could ensure the safety of his parents. Willing to take the chance, he listened to the dark figure.

"Far from here, you will bind your whole being to a graveyard. You will watch these spirits, keep them at rest, and protect them with your prowess. You will be sure that others who enter this grave respect those that have passed, and will proceed to remove those that don't. You will be able to leave as you please, but you will be forever returned once the sun reaches it's lowest point in the sky."

Locke asked what he would gain in return.

"These two will be moved to this grave, a similar area just like this one. You cannot protect this area forever, change is inevitable. Take this offer, and ensure their safety."

He thought long and hard about the offer, and agreed to the terms, only caring for his parents safety at first.

As he was moved to the new area, he began to learn many new things about spirits and their world. He found a deep respect for those who lay at rest, and then took his job seriously throughout those past years and to the present time.

He then became their guardian, forever....

Things to know
-Locke is NOT dead. The curse he placed upon himself only burned away his physical body, and set his spirit ablaze to act as his life force. He has the ability to spread this flames out individually, acting as an extension of his body throughout a massive area of land. He uses this ability in order to watch the whole graveyard.

-Locke can STILL die. His body is not composed of flame, which acts as his life force that burns eternally. However, flame can be doused with water. If his whole body is exposed to water for a long extended time, his body will burn out, and he will cease to exist.

-Lock can pass through any small cracks due to his body. He uses this to hide away from the rain.
